General Hospital spoilers say that sooner or later the cat was going to come out of the bag. Nina and Willow are about to experience the shock of their lives when Carly confesses that the two of them are actually mother and daughter. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Cynthia Watros, who plays Nina on the hit ABC soap, puts it this way, “Carly is kind of pushed into a corner. SHe’s been keeping this secret about Willow being Nina’s daughter for months, but when she finds out that the best potential bone marrow for Willow is a relative, she realizes that needs to tell the truth. Nina is in the chapel with Sonny, praying for Willow’s life, when Carly comes and says, ‘I need to tell you something.’”
General Hospital spoilers say that after Carly reveals that she got the confirmation of Nina and Willow’s connection from a DNA test, Cynthia says, “That is when the window of Nina believing this might be true starts opening. Carly is adamant in the way she is telling Nina this information and I think for Nian, it comes down to, ‘I don’t think Carly would put Willow’s life in jeopardy just because she hates me.’ So that pushes her into believing that what Carly is saying is true. Nina walks out of the chapel calling her a monster and goes immediately to Willow.”
That’s when Nina ends up telling Willow that she is her mother. Of course, Willow doesn’t believe a word that she’s saying until Michael chimes in and says that he believes it, too. Nina then goes on to say that Willow is her daughter and because of that, she’s not going to let her die.
