The Young and the Restless spoilers say that regardless of whether or not you love or you hate the man, there’s no denying that Victor Newman is the kind of man that you can’t ignore, for better or for worse. But at the same time, he might also be the most abusive father that Genoa City has ever seen. That’s because it seems like he just won’t give his kids a break, especially when it comes to their mental health. Here’s what you need to know.
If there’s anything that we’ve learned about Victor over the years, it’s that he loves a good old-fashioned sibling rivalry. For years he pitted Victoria Newman against Nick Newman for the head CEO spot of Newman enterprises. He did this until, of course, Adam Newman came back onto the scene. It’s almost as if he loves to see his kids squabble because he thinks it will make them tougher in the long run and ultimately, make them better leaders. After all, his legacy is on the line, too.
At the same time though, all this tough fatherly love is doing a number on his kids, too. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Victor decides that the only way he can save his son Adam is by destroying him first. While Adam is towing over Victor and Nikki’s dinner table, his father tells him just how much he has resented him over the years. Ouch. In return, Adam tells his father that he is insufferable. He also says that his father’s ego is bigger than he is, which no one will argue. After he leaves, Victor tells Nikki that he wants to help his son but his plan in doing so is not what anyone would expect. Watch this space.
Needless to say, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
