While no one likes to see a divorce happen, this certainly is a messy one. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Abby Newman and Chance Chancellor’s marriage just didn’t seem to have a fighting chance from the get-go. Now, there’s a lot of viewers who can’t help but wonder who is to blame for the mess that has happened between them (which included Abby ultimately sleeping with her ‘best friend’ Devon not once, but twice!). This has prompted a lot of fans to ask: are you Team Abby or Team Chance? Here’s what you need to know.
Many The Young and the Restless fans have taken to social media to weigh in on the matter with comments such as, “Well Abby you had unrealistic expectations on your marriage & did cheat on your husband in the end. And you did sleep with Devon again before the ink in the divorce papers were dry. That’s exactly the kind of person you are!” along with, “I’m glad he finally let her have it. Abby honestly has needed to be put in her place for a while now. The party he asked her not to give him when he 1st got back bcuz he was severely suffering from PSTD, she didn’t listen & had it anyway & lying for Victor, he didn’t want to do.”
Another fan wrote, “Communication between Abby & Chance was poor at best. Sleeping with Devon a 2nd time only adds fuel to an already combustible relationship. Once can be a mistake. The 2nd time,no. They would both benefit from a therapist/mediator if only to facilitate a less acrimonious divorce.”
And then there was this comment, “Maybe I am in the minority here but Chance is right. I have never liked Abby. She is spoiled and entitled. This is just another example of that. She also doesn’t like hearing the truth. He may have had a part in the end of his marriage but she sure is around Devon a lot more now for someone who is sorry and wanted another shot.”
