British Royal News: Prince Harry Didn’t Think His Children Would Become ‘Gingers’

British Royal News says that those Spencer genes are strong – and those are certainly Prince Harry’s words, and not ours. The Duke of Sussex recently sat down with Stephen Colbert for an interview and said that he was surprised to see his children turn out to be the red-headed gingers that they are today! Here’s what he has to say.

“I actually really thought in the beginning of my relationship, should this go the distance and we have kids, there is no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes,” he said.

In a very cute moment, Harry then pumped his fist in the air and said, “Go, gingers!”

He also said that his daughter Lilibet takes after Princess Diana while he sees a lot of his wife Meghan Markle in their son, Archie. “The Spencer gene is very, very strong,” he shared. “The ginger gene is a strong one.”

Meanwhile, and in an interview with People magazine, the renegade royal opened up about his family life and why he left Britain. He said, “My relationship with Meghan has opened my eyes to so much I fear I otherwise would have never fully understood. To this day, I’m doing important and necessary work to understand and address unconscious bias — it’s ever-evolving and requires us to step up and speak out where we can — even when it’s our friends, families or loved ones.”

British Royal News: What’s Next For Prince Harry?

But Harry added that he still wants his children to know their British family. He said, “I’ve said before that I’ve wanted a family, not an institution — so of course, I would love nothing more than for our children to have relationships with members of my family, and they do with some, which brings me great joy.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Spare is available on bookshelves and online now.
