General Hospital spoilers say that it’s certainly an end of an era. Well, maybe. Actress Kelly Theibaud, who is best known for her role as Britt Westbourne on the hit ABC soap, has said her final good-bye to her fans after her character tragically died on screen. Here’s what you need to know.
Kelly uploaded a video on her Instagram account and shared a montage of some of her best memories from the show. “A tribute to all the years I’ve been lucky enough to entertain you as Dr. Britt Westbourne and lucky enough to work with such wonderful and kind people,” she captioned her post. “Being on this show, being in your living rooms every day, is an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for all of the amazing support over the years.”
“There are so many people not in this video only because I didn’t get a picture with you but I truly miss seeing all of your faces at work,” she continued. “One day I hope to share all of my stories about being on GH with my kids and what a fun time I had. I love you all. P.S. sorry this video is so long.”
During one touching scene, Obrecht is holding her daughter in her arms just as she is about to take her last breath. “All those kisses I never gave you. All those nights I put you to bed and never rocked you to sleep,” Obrecht lamented. “My precious girl. I love you, sweetheart. Mama loves you.”
According to Deadline, Kelly is leaving General Hospital to star in ABC’s Station 19. She will be joining the upcoming sixth season of the Shondaland series. She will be playing a character by the name of Eva Vasquez, who is the widow of fallen firefighter Rigo Vasquez. Watch this space as we have a feeling that we’ll be seeing much more of Kelly in the coming weeks ahead!
