The Young and the Restless spoilers say that fans knew this would happen sooner or later. The discussion between Devon and Lily and whether or not to sell Chancellor-Winters definitely blows up in more ways than one. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Tucker’s only reason for taking over the company is so he can give it to his son. Bryton James, who plays Devon on the hit CBS soap, offers, “His dad’s methods of going about this, Devon just can’t stand, so he has to put his foot down. Despite all of the snags, Lily and Jill still want to go through with the IPO and Devon thinks, from a business standpoint, that it’s just not a good idea. There’s a lot coming down on his shoulders.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers then say Devon asks Lily and Jill what they think about him buying back his portion of the company so they can all move forward. Bryton previews, “Devon believes it’s the best option because they all get what they want. He also realizes if they take the deal that he’ll be starting from scratch again, so he’s basically exiling himself. He’ll be on his own, again, like he was before he met the Winters family, but it’s what he wants in order to save his dad’s legacy.”
Yet, Lily says that splitting the companies would weaken Chancellor’s IPO and rejects Devon’s proposal. She also says that she doesn’t want a public fight, either. Bryton teases, “It’s quite elaborate, which takes Devon by surprise. Lily thinks it’s a win/win situation for both sides, and she asks Devon to really think about it. She leaves and now he’s more uncertain than ever.”
Needless to say, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
