General Hospital spoilers say that if there’s anyone that you can’t trust right now in this fictional town of Port Charles, you better believe that it’s this beautiful, albeit difficult brunette. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Spencer’s struggles to process what’s going on with Esme and her pregnancy begins to make sense when Laura points out that given how far along she is, it’s unlikely that she’s the deadly Hook. Speaking to the publication in a new interview, Nicholas Chavez, who plays the handsome Cassadine son on the hit ABC soap, offered, “Spencer’s not an idiot. He knows whose kid that is. And I think he has to spend a significant amount of energy just wrapping his head around Esme carrying Nikolas’ child. It’s a horrible situation. His relationship with his dad is already on the ropes and there’s really no salvaging it.”

General Hospital spoilers say that Spencer’s conversation with Laura only makes things worse. Nicholas says, “If Esme is not the killer, that means the killer is still at large. All the people who have died are in some way connected to Trina, he wants to do everything he can to protect her. And knowing that it’s not Esme, and that someone else is there out there, roaming around, is very scary for Spencer.”

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Esme?

General Hospital spoilers say that Spencer visits a purportedly amnesiac Esme to see if she’s really faking her memory loss. Nicholas previews, “When he finds out that she’s saying she can’t remember anything, he thinks that’s absurd. So he goes there to see for himself and he does the smart thing, which is ask questions to try to figure out if this is all for real. Of course, I don’t think he thinks it’s for real. But he wants to figure out a way to use what she is claiming to his advantage.”
