Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Bryan R. Datillo, who plays Lucas on the his Peacock soap, offers, “He gets wind through Roman and Rex via a couple of phone calls and visits.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that when John arrives to help diffuse the situation, Lucas runs off to check on Kate’s situation at the hospital. Unfortunately, he finds out that she had died. Byan says, “Lucas loves his mother, so he goes through a lot of emotional stuff. He’s highly affected by this, not only being in a prison and not being able to do anything about it, but also because the guy responsible for it is there with him.”

Soon after, Lucas returns and lunges towards Orpheus in a way that he’s never done before. He goes at him and even threatens to kill him. Orpheus even counters but Lucas tries to choke him to death.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that luckily, John intervenes. He breaks up the fight but realizes at the same time that Lucas is going through his own trauma right now. But before he knows it, Orpheus presents a peace offering to Lucas via contraband alcohol, out of all things. Bryan says, “He refers to Lucas as the drunken Horton Bastard, so he’s quite familiar with addition. Lucas is tempted, albeit apprehensive to guzzle his troubles away, while Orpheas does his best to encourage him. Orpheus says he’s just trying to help Lucas take the edge off his mom dying.”
