The Bold and the Beautiful News: Ridge’s Biggest Regret Is Falling For His Stepmother

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that while fans have certainly seen all crazy kinds of storylines from this fictional town of Los Angeles over the years, the craziest one must have been when Ridge Forrester fell for Quinn Forrester. Out of all the women at the Forrester mansion, he fell hard for his father’s wife! That’s one regret that Ridge won’t ever be able to take back, according to his portrayer Thorsten Kaye. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Thorsten puts it this way, “Well, it’s always better not to fall for your stepmother. That was such a betrayal on Ridge’s part but their father/son love was strong enough that they could work their way past it, and look around now, Quinn is nowhere to be seen so maybe in a way, Ridge did him a favor. And if it wasn’t Ridge, it would have been Carter, which it ended up being, so there you have it.”

With that said, Thorsten also added that Ridge has always been close to his father, Eric Forrester. He explained, “This, of course, may reflect how I feel about John McCook [Eric] because we also have a bond in real life, but these guys on screen are equals and they have the utmost respect for one another. What Ridge feels for Eric is exactly how I feel about John. When Ridge grows up, he can only hope to be as good a man as his father.”

The Bold and the Beautiful News: What’s Next For Ridge?

Thorsten also added that he doesn’t think Ridge is too impulsive for his own good. He said, “It may seem that way but I don’t think so. I actually think that quality has served him well over the years. When he married Caroline [in 2015] it seemed impulsive, and it was, but when it was good, it was good. If you have a quick start, sometimes you finish first and sometimes you get disqualified. That’s just the way the game goes. But I don’t see that changing anytime soon.”
