Well, so much for that. British Royal News says that Prince William warned Prince Harry not to propose to Meghan Markle. The future king of England suggested that Meghan would never be one of them or part of their “fab four” simply because she was an American actress. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Harry’s book, the Duke of Sussex allegedly told his brother that their late mother Princess Diana helped him ‘find’ Meghan, which didn’t sit too well with his older brother. William told Harry that he needed to take a step back and that he was taking things too far.
If that weren’t enough, William didn’t want Harry and Meghan to get married at Westminster Abbey, because that’s where he and Kate Middleton got married. He also didn’t want the couple married at St. Paul’s, because it would have been “too grand.”
Interestingly enough, both William and Kate were huge fans of Suits before Harry met Meghan. Both William and Kate were floored when he told them that he was dating Meghan, who the royal couple knew because of Suits. “Their mouths fell open,” Harry writes. “They turned to each other. Then Willy turned to me and said, ‘F–k off?’”
Harry added that his brother and sister-in-law were “regular – nay, religious – viewers of ‘Suits.’”
In the book, Harry also writes that in 2018, Meghan was put in her place after she suggested that Kate was suffering from the all too familiar “baby brain” ahead of their wedding in May 2018. Apparently, Meghan and Kate had a little bit of an argument and the Duchess of Sussex said that her sister-in-law “must have baby brain because of her hormones.”
Harry wrote, “There was a discussion about the timing of the wedding rehearsal and the flower girl dresses and Kate was very upset.”
The Duke added that Meghan was reprimanded for her comment and that she was told that she wasn’t close enough to Kate to make a comment like that.
