British Royal News says that no one was certainly spared in Prince Harry’s new memoir, Spare. Prince Harry now says that he felt rather hurt after Camilla Parker Bowles moved in to Clarence House and apparently turned his bedroom into her dressing room. Here’s what you need to know.

British Royal News: Prince Harry Admits Camilla Parker Bowles Made Him Sad For This Reason

In his book, Harry recalled the time that he found out Camilla, who is now the Queen Consort, turned his old bedroom into her personal dressing room the moment that he moved out. “I tried not to care. But especially the first time I saw it, I cared,” the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex wrote.

In the book, Prince Harry also wrote that he and William apparently didn’t want Camilla to be a part of their family because they were worried about all of the wicked stepmother stereotypes, to say the least.

According to Page Six, Harry writes in his book that at the end of the day, both he and his brother realized that their father was in love with Camilla and that at that point, there wasn’t much they could do. He said, “Despite Willy and me urging him not to, Pa was going ahead. We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings. We recognized that he was finally going to be with the woman he loved, the woman he’d always loved. Fate might’ve intended for him in the first place. Whatever bitterness or sorrow we felt over the closing of another loop in Mummy’s story, we understood that it was besides the point.”

He writes, “I remember wondering … if she would be cruel to me; if she would be like all the evil stepmothers in the stories.” He added: “Willy had been suspicious of the Other Woman for a long time, which confused and tormented him. When those suspicions were confirmed, he felt agonizing remorse for not having done or said anything before.”

One source close to the situation says that while Prince William has gotten closer to Camilla, it’s Harry that has never fully accepted her.
