Say it isn’t so! There are new reports that say former Days of Our Lives star Lisa Rinna is moving on from reality television. That’s because she’s announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Here’s what you need to know.
Lisa told People in an interview, “This is the longest job I have held in my 35 year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
The decision apparently came after Lisa’s contract ended with the series after the end of Season 12.
Back during the summer of 2021, Lisa briefly returned to her daytime television roots by starring in the new Days of Our Lives spin-off for the Peacock network. At the time, Lisa shared a post for the Peacock original, “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,” on her Instagram account. She captioned it with, “Billie Reed is Back. All of the romance, action, drama and surprises that only DAYS can deliver, but like you’ve never seen before.”
NBC released a statement about the miniseries right after Lisa confirmed the news of her return. It says, “Over a long weekend, John and Marlena travel to Zurich; Ben and Ciara have a romantic getaway in New Orleans; Chad visits some old friends in Phoenix; and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli vacation in Miami. All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. It’s a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure.”
Now, whether or not Lisa decides to come back to daytime television remains to be seen. For now, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed.
