British Royal News: Prince Harry Says Prince William And Kate Middleton Encouraged Him To Wear His Nazi Uniform

British Royal News says that Prince Harry claims that both Prince William and Kate Middleton encouraged him to wear his Nazi uniform to a costume party back in 2005. The Duke of Sussex made the claim in his upcoming book, Spare. Here’s what you need to know.

In one segment of the book, Harry says that before the party, he told his brother and his brother’s then-girlfriend about the Nazi uniform and apparently, they thought it was a great idea. “I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said,” Harry writes, adding, “They both howled. Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point.”

In January 2005, the Duke of Sussex attended a friend’s fancy dress-themed birthday party in a Nazi uniform, complete with swastika armband. “It was probably one of the biggest mistakes in my life. I felt so ashamed afterwards,” the prince said during the Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan. 

Harry continued, “All I wanted to do was make it right. I sat down spoke to the Chief Rabbi in London, which had a profound impact on me. I went to Berlin and spoke to a Holocaust survivor. I could have just ignored it and gone on and made the same mistakes over and over again in my life. But I learned from that.”

British Royal News: What’s Next For Harry?

At the time, Harry said in a statement, “I am very sorry if I caused any offense or embarrassment to anyone. It was a poor choice of costume and I apologize.”

Yet one source close to the situation now says, “It’s strange as you would think that Harry would take ownership of this and just move on and not drag his brother into it, but he makes it clear that he feels strongly about William’s role in the scandal.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter. Harry’s book, Spare, hits bookshelves on January 10th. Watch this space as we are sure the royal drama is about to escalate big time.
