The Young and the Restless spoilers say that 2023 is going to be the year of all things Teriah – at least that’s what their fans are hoping for. Here’s everything you need to know about Tessa and Mariah for the upcoming year. Keep reading below!
Back in October, Teriah were on pins and needles over their adoption process. That’s when Christine summoned both Mariah and Tessa to the coffeehouse for some news concerning their attempt at wanting to start a family. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah on the hit CBS soap, explains, “After the initial meeting with the first prospective lawyer, Mariah and Tessa were really disheartened. They are ready to start this next chapter of their lives as partners and parents, but then they were confronted with the harsh reality of, ‘Oh, this might not happen.’”
In August, Cait Fairbanks opened up about what’s next for Teriah, too. Cait said that while Tessa and Mariah might be enjoying the honeymoon phase of their relationship right now, things are about to take a turn for the worst. Asked if the soap will continue their baby plans for an upcoming storyline, Cait said, “I think they’ve brought that [adoption] up in the story. I imagine it could happen. It won’t be a standard adoption, because it’s a soap opera. It has to be extra juicy. Maybe we’ll adopt a murderer or something?”
In December, Tessa announced that she and Mariah are meeting with a pregnant woman in the hopes that they can adopt her baby. Speaking to the publication in a new interview, actress Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah on the hit CBS soap, says, “Mariah wanted to keep this on the down low. She didn’t want to get everybody’s hopes up, like they did with the first expectant mother, and there was so much disappointment when that didn’t happen. So, given a choice, Mairah would have preferred waiting before spreading the news.”
