General Hospital star Emma Samms is one of our favorites and for many good reasons, too. The actress, who is best known for her role as Holly on the soap, has had quite the year in 2022. Here’s a little review.
It took quite a long time for Emma to come back to work because she’s been dealing with long covid. But now that she’s been on the canvas with us for several weeks now, she’s going back home to the UK. With that said, the actress told the publication that she’s been touched by all the positive feedback she’s gotten from her comeback.
Unfortunately, in early December, Emma said good-bye to Port Charles. Emma also said that she’s happy to see that Holly and Robert are back together again and on such good terms. She added, “She and Robert have great empathy for each other and great affection and great love, without a doubt. You see that connection between them is still really burning strong and if it wasn’t for these extreme circumstances, they would probably be right back to where they were, working together – not necessarily with his permission, but she would be joining them! I think they would be right back to that!”
In November, Emma admitted that she never thought she’d find love again in her personal life. “It’s our wedding anniversary tomorrow,” the glowing actress told GH co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny) during their interview on his YouTube series, State of Mind. “One year.”
Emma admitted that after having been married three times, she never thought that she would find love again. She also thought that she didn’t think she would have a meaningful romantic partnership until she met Simon. “For the last 20 years, I’ve lived on my own,” she explained. “I’ve been a single mother. Very happily so. But a year ago, I got married. And I never thought I’d get married again.”
