The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Going On With Matthew Atkinson?

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Matthew Atkinson is someone just you just can’t get your eyes off of, and for good reason, too. And that’s not just because he’s incredibly charming and good looking, but he’s also one of our favorite daytime television stars. No one can make a villain look as good as Matthew, right? Well, here’s what he’s been up to lately. 

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Going On With Matthew Atkinson?

Back In March, Matthew opened up about some of his likes and dislikes. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, when asked what his takes on clowns are (out of all the possible questions in the universe), Matthew said, “There are two schools of thought on clowns: love them or hate them. I’ve never cared for clowns. It’s not negative. They don’t scare me. I’m guess I’m neutral.”

When it comes to the last movie that made him laugh, he said, “I was rewatching Bruce Almighty recently, which really demonstrates the genius of Steve Carell in comedy. I love it.” And as far as what his favorite dessert is, Matthew revealed, “Throughout my life, I’ve loved a cookie cake. I love a big massive cookie. I’m the Cookie Monster.” 

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Next For Thomas?

In November, Matthew admitted that it was love at first sight when he first met Maisel, who happens to be his girlfriend’s dog. When asked about her disposition (the dog, not the girlfriend), Matthew said, “I immediately fell in love with that dog, and I never really thought about Dalmatians because you don’t really see them that often, but she is the sweetest dog in the world. She is so smart, and she’s kind of cunning. She knows what she’s doing. She gets what she wants. She’s too pretty for her own good. She also has way too much energy for her own good, but she is so incredibly smart.”

In December, Matthew opened up about his character Thomas Forrester and the stupid move he made when he called Child Protection Services using a voice altering app to make it sound like he’s Brooke Logan. He said he was pretty shocked to find out the truth just like everyone else over at the Forrester mansion. He put it this way, “I didn’t find out that Thomas was the one who called CPS ’til like two days before the script came out and then we shot it, you know, like two days after that. So that was a quick turnaround. But it was sort of like, you could see a bunch of different directions it could have gone and that I thought maybe made more sense, at least in the way that it had been let up. So it definitely was out of left field. Funny that Thomas was the one who did it, especially considering that for the last year he’s spent all his time saying how honesty is number one. And it’s just like, his entire focus in life was on having his son and being a good father, and then randomly he’s going to call CPS on himself? That backfires; then everything he wants in life goes kaboom.”
