General Hospital news says that for this actor, it’s the end of an era. Marcus Coloma, who was best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine, has just opened up about his time in Port Charles. As many fans know by now, he was let go from the hit daytime television show earlier in the week. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
The actor took to his Instagram account to say, “It’s hard to even say it. I get so sad when I think about it. Look, I don’t know what I can or can’t say, other than what an incredible ride. There’s such a family feel at General Hospital, which I felt so blessed to be part of. And I’ve said this a million times—the fans are the best fans in the entire world, and I think a lot of that is just because you guys have been watching for such a long time. So thank you for including me. Thanks for the love. Happy holidays, you guys.”
He then jokingly said, “Maurice [Benard, Sonny] said he’s gonna change his number on me. But I know where he lives. I know where Kin Shriner [Scott] lives. We’re still gonna film things. Much love.”
On Monday, it was announced that Marcus was pink slipped from General Hospital. Unfortunately, he decided not to film the rest of his scenes even though he’s got a few heavy storylines connected to his character. Now, as far as who is going to replace Marcus remains to be seen but a lot of General Hospital fans have made it no secret that they would love to see Tyler Christopher back on the canvas. Watch this space.
We have a feeling that Marcus will be back on the canvas somewhere soon in no time. That said, fans will have to tune in to General Hospital each and every day to find out what’s in store for the future.
