British Royal News says that Prince Harry might not realize that he’s sure got a long way to go in making this happen. Apparently, the Duke of Sussex wants to create institutional change for the monarchy, but he might have taken a few steps back in doing so than a few steps forward. Here’s what you need to know.

According to The Sunday Times, a friend of Harry’s says that he wants to help revolutionize the monarchy from the outside in, if that’s even possible. One source close to the situation says, “People ask ‘why air your dirty laundry?’ Everything Harry does and says is rooted in wanting to try and change things for the better, even if not everyone agrees with that. If the outcome of all of this is an institution and a family that operates in a more modern way, then so much the better . . . if there is a chance to improve things for the next generation, that’s a positive.”

As far as Meghan Markle is concerned, a separate insider has said that William and his wife Kate Middleton couldn’t understand why Harry and Meghan wanted to change so much within the system, especially when it came to royal protocols. Meanwhile, it seems like Prince William is being very cautious as to how he plans to proceed forward in his never ending feud with his brother. Apparently, the Prince of Wales has told his inner circle to keep calm and carry on and to basically ignore all of the negative vibes coming from a certain mansion in Montecito. He’s also not letting anything that Harry has said in front of the cameras get underneath his skin.

One source says that William “does not want us fuelling the conflict”, adding that, “[William’s] been very clear on that” and that he’s also “keen to have as much of a normal week as possible.”

Another tipster has said that William never plans to watch Harry and Meghan’s docuseries and that they know he won’t watch it, either.
