British Royal News says there’s a very good chance that Prince Harry will have to go incognito the next time that he decides to travel to the UK. That’s because there might be very few people who would actually be willing to greet him at the airport. In fact, there are new reports that says King Charles III’s friends are now lashing out at Prince Harry for his “disgraceful betrayal” of trust thanks to all of the things he said in the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the Sunday Times, Chuck’s friends are making it pretty clear that Harry is now persona non grata in their social circles. One even put it this way, “It’s a disgraceful betrayal of trust, an unwelcome distraction in the short term and very hurtful to the family. But it’s not as damaging to the monarchy as we feared. Most sensible people will see it for what it is — self-indulgent, one-sided and exploitative. With every passing month and year, it will be seen as the tawdry, shameful exercise it was. I’m sure Harry will come to regret it unless he’s lost to the world. William must be furious and the King will be devastated, but they will crack on, showing on a weekly basis what the job entails and the value it brings — Harry and Meghan can’t. Any chance of reconciliation is much harder now.”
Meanwhile, it doesn’t seem like Harry is too concerned about what his dad’s friends are saying as he has even more to say about the royal family. According to the Daily Mail, Harry will be sitting down with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes on Sunday, January 8th, which is two days before his memoir will hit bookshelves. There’s a very good chance that the two will be speaking more about mental health than about all of the drama surrounding the royal family.
One source close to the situation has revealed, “Mr Cooper has won Harry’s trust. This would be a coup for Mr Cooper and fits well with Harry’s campaign to promote mental health. It is a prime-time Sunday show which hosts foreign leaders and presidents. It’s the one that all the politicians and decision-makers watch.”
