General Hospital Spoilers: Esme is Missing More Than Her Mommy and Daddy

General Hospital spoilers tease Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has been terrorizing the good people of Port Charles since the day she landed in the states. It might have been painted as a show of her undying affection for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), but Esme had her sights set on Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) long before Spencer took issue with her.

As Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) devious daughter, Esme wanted to make her birth father proud, and she thought the way to his heart might be through revenge. They might be thick as thieves now, but Ryan is still keeping a pretty big secret from Esme, and it’s not just that her mother is Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

Maybe the reason Esme has felt so alone and without family all these years is because she’s missing a deeply held and sacred part of herself that she never knew existed — her sibling. Ryan and Heather recently connected in Spring Ridge, and their covert chat led to quite the revelation. Heather told Ryan she owes him one, to which he replied she actually owes him two. Is Ryan referring to the other child Heather gave birth to?

GH Spoilers Tease Esme is a Twin

While childbirth was quite a surprise for Heather having two children, it’s not clear yet whether Esme’s sibling is a boy or a girl. If she has a twin sister, it would make the most sense that she is an identical twin. It could even be possible that Esme actually did die when she fell off the parapet at Wyndemere, and that the person Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) are holding hostage right now is actually Esme’s secret twin. We certainly hope not, because fans would love to see the reaction when Esme finds out she has an identical other half.

Of course, whispers between two psychopaths in a jail cell don’t mean that truth is coming to light anytime soon. Ryan has concealed the identity of Esme’s birth mother thus far, and he likely has his own reasons for doing so. Has he just wanted to keep Esme all to himself? Maybe he thinks Heather would lure her away from him — or even turn her against him.

On the other hand, Esme might not mean much to him at all, but he’s needed someone to do his bidding while he’s trapped in Spring Ridge pretending to be locked in. Esme was the perfect candidate and she fell in his lap. Either way, we’re excited to see what comes next.
