If there’s anything that Days of Our Lives fans love about Victoria Konefal, it’s her honesty. The actress, who is best known for her role as Ciara Brady on the hit Peacock soap, recently opened up about the best and the worst thing to have happened to her this past year. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Victoria admits that 2022 will be a year that she will never forget, for better or for worse. The actress put it this way, “The best thing was I had a breakthrough healing moment that had a lot to do with some personal issues I was feeling with and I found a really happy, light place in my heart that I hadn’t seen in quite some time, so I’ve really been vibrating off of that. The worst thing, a friend of minde passed away a month ago. That’s been difficult.”
Back in February, Victoria announced that she was taking a break from daytime television and suffice to say, her fans were none too pleased. But this hasn’t been the first time that the Brooklyn-born beauty has pressed the pause button on the soap opera world. As many fans can recall, Victoria took a break from daytime television back in 2020. It was at the end of her two-year contract. She wanted to work on other projects but unfortunately, that’s when the pandemic hit, too.
“I was ready to dip my toe into other projects. Then two weeks later they shut down the world completely,” she recalled, adding that when DAYS resumed production months later, they called her about returning. “They asked to have me back as a contract player, and I was like, ‘Well, this is kind of tricky. I know I’ve been away for 10 months, but I haven’t had a chance to dip my toe. So I agreed to a 16-week contract.”
