The Young and the Restless spoilers say that if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Chelsea Newman over the years, it’s that she does a good job of causing more trouble than anyone else in this fictional town of Genoa City. That might be one of the reasons why Lily is giving Billy a side eye about her. Here’s what you need to know.
Unfortunately, both Billy and Lily are having a very hard time communicating with one another. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Jason Thompson, who plays Billy on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “The challenging thing for Billy is that he noe besides Chelsea really knows the gravity of what they went though when she was on that ledge. Billy has maybe not done a great job of explaining to Lily the seriousness of what happened and how desperate things were, and honestly, how dangerous it was for Billy and Chelsea to be standing up there.”
With that said though, The Young and the Restless spoilers say that it doesn’t help the situation when Billy confronts Lily about her asking Chelsea not to lean on him so much. Jason says, “Lily tells Billy that’s not the conversation she had with Chelsea at all. She claims she tried to find common ground by opening up to Chelsea about what could be her own abandonment issues, such as when Cane left her and she went to prison. Now Lily is upset that Chelsea’s takeaway from their conversation was Lily drawing a line in the sand.”
If that weren’t enough, Billy tries to calm Lily down by assuring her that Chelsea doesn’t feel the same way, so Lily surmises that he is the one who came away with the wrong idea. Uh-oh! We have a feeling this isn’t going to end well. Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
