British Royal News: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘Delighted’ Over Outcome Of Netflix Docuseries

British Royal News says that even though they are getting slammed by their critics from each and every direction you can imagine, that doesn’t really seem to matter much to them. That’s because there’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle actually feel rather “delighted” over the outcome of their Netflix series. Here’s what you need to know.

British Royal News: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘Delighted’ Over Outcome Of Netflix Docuseries

Even though the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan makes the monarchy look like a racist and outdated institution that has strong but also strange ties to the British press, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are glad that they told their story – or at least their side of the story. That, and it seems like they don’t have any regrets about it, either.

One source close to the situation told The Mirror: “Harry is delighted with the narrative of the documentary and how he and Meghan came across. The reason for doing this was to share their truth on their lives. He feels it told the story he wanted the world to hear and has absolutely no regrets.”

The source added: “Harry and Meghan hope family members and courtiers will watch or, more importantly, listen to their comments. But they know nothing they speak about will be addressed in public. They hope it may prompt a greater understanding from the King and the Cambridges of how Harry and Meghan feel about their experiences in England. Harry retains hope for a reconciliation. He loves his father and brother, no matter what people think.”

British Royal News: What’s Next For Harry and Meghan?

For anyone who has watched the first volume of Harry and Meghan, they’ll know that the series talked about Queen Elizabeth’s work to lead the Commonwealth into a new era, although a lot of it did seem a little negative. The series called the Commonwealth a  “privileged club of formally colonized nations.”

What’s more, the documentary also hinted that the royal family have long been benefitting from the historic slave trade. Writer Afua Hirsch told viewers: “It’s often said that Britain had a Deep South that was just as brutal, that actually enslaved more Africans than the United States of America did. But that Deep South was the Caribbean.”
