If we didn’t already love this guy so much, we’d say that we were just as obsessed with him as Thomas Forrester has been obsessed with Hope Logan! The Bold and the Beautiful star Matthew Atkinson just shared an adorable video with his pup Maisel that you’ve got to see to believe. Here’s what you need to know.
Matthew shared an adorable video of himself doing squats with Maisel in his arms. He captioned it with, “Workout finisher. If you get back or hip pain from full depth squats, you can scale to box squats. If you get emotional pain from working out, scale to working out with a puppy.”
Awww! Matthew told Soap Opera Digest that it was love at first sight when he first met Maisel, who happens to be his girlfriend’s dog. When asked about her disposition (the dog, not the girlfriend), Matthew said, “I immediately fell in love with that dog, and I never really thought about Dalmatians because you don’t really see them that often, but she is the sweetest dog in the world. She is so smart, and she’s kind of cunning. She knows what she’s doing. She gets what she wants. She’s too pretty for her own good. She also has way too much energy for her own good, but she is so incredibly smart.”
Matthew also said that he grew up with pets. He explained, “I’ve always been a dog guy. I had a dog when I was a kid, a beagle named Molly, and my mom had a couple of cats so I grew up with animals. We had some fish, too, but I’ve always been a dog guy. I love dogs. I love being around them. I love a dog’s energy, no matter how big or small, but I tend to gravitate toward the big ones because I love to wrestle around.”
