British Royal News says that this is going to get ugly, and we mean really ugly – especially in the press. Even though they are yet to see an episode of Harry and Meghan’s new Netflix docuseries, they are already calling it a “declaration of war” against the royal family back in London. Nevermind that there are actual wars really going on in this world, but those in the royal bubble seem to believe that this one is the most explosive of them all. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the second teaser trailer for the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, it seems like Prince Harry is putting all of the blame for Megxit on his royal family members back at home. He hints that he was worried that his wife Meghan would end up just like his mother, Princess Diana, and also blames the royal family for playing a “dirty game” with the press. At this point it’s pretty clear that Harry and Meghan are using their Netflix documentary to attack the royal family while clearing up a few things they believe to be false on their end.
The Daily Mail correspondent Dan Wootoon, who often has something negative to say about Harry and Meghan on social media, was one of the first members of the royal family to respond to the trailer on Twitter. He wrote, “As I’ve already said this is nothing short of a declaration of war – and the aim of destroying the life’s work of Queen Elizabeth II. Shame on them! Strip them of their titles now!”
Now, whether or not King Charles III is actually going to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles remains to be seen but so far Buckingham Palace has been rather quiet over the matter. The first three episodes will drop on Thursday, December 8th while the second half of the series will come out on December 15th. In the second trailer, Prince Harry can be heard as saying, “There’s leaking but also the planting of stories. It’s a dirty game.”
