Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Paul Telfer Admits Xander Isn’t The Same Man He Used To Be

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that while fans have seen the good, the bad, and the downright ugly in Xander Cook, his portrayer Paul Telfer says that fans have seen nothing yet. In fact, he says that his character is a different kind of villain than what he used to be. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Daytime Confidential, while at a recent Days of Our Lives event, Paul opened up about his character and all of the changes he’s seen over the years. He said, “It’s not that I preferred Xander as a villain. It’s nice when you get to change. He’s a different kind of villain than he used to be. He’s always kidnapped women and children but now, he feels bad about it. You can see the empathy he has for his victims and is aware of the damage he’s doing.”

Paul also cleared up some of the confusion over Xander’s last name, as he sometimes goes by Xander Cook and Xander Kiriakis. He said, “That situation is a contextual issue depending on who [Xander] is talking to, what country he’s in, and whether or now the person he’s speaking with is in law enforcement or not. In his heart of hearts, all he wants is to be a ‘Kiriakis.’”

Meanwhile, Paul’s co-star Lindsay Godfrey added that she didn’t know just how deprived of love her on-screen husband was this entire time. She said, “He’s a stellar partner to her. He’s loving. He shows up for her whenever she needs him.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Xander?

We can definitely believe that! Here’s hoping that Sara and Xander end up together for a very, very long time. Or at least for as long as the soap writers will keep them together.
