General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Confides in Ava, Who Hatches a Plan to Make Sonny Jealous

General Hospital spoilers reveals Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) hasn’t been sleeping well next to her man, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She knew when she got into this that he had a certain reputation for being a womanizer, but like so many who came before her, she thought she was different. She would be “the one,” she told herself.

Now, she’s watching Sonny sleep every night and wondering if the next morning, it will dawn on him that he’s still in love with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). The only thing that Nina knows can help keep Sonny in her grasp is making him feel like he doesn’t need to worry about Carly moving on. That’s going to be hard now that she told him she’s dating Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Turns to Her Bestie, Ava

Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) knows a thing or two about betrayal, and what it’s like to be a sitting duck waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under your happy union. She’s been running out the clock as a guest at Nina’s penthouse for too long now as she waffles on whether or not to be done with her own marriage. When Nina gives Ava something else to focus on, she’ll happily take the bait.

GH Spoilers Indicate Ava Knows Sonny Too Well

Ava and Sonny share a child together. They are enemies at times and friends during darker days, but Ava knows what makes Sonny tick. She has warned Nina that Sonnyand Carly have a twisted loyalty to one another. Sonny always seems like he’s ready to move on without Carly, right up until Carly starts moving on without him. Nina can feel Sonny’s attention pulling away toward Carly now that he knows she’s got a special someone. When Ava sees her friend in distress, she’s going to be more than willing to help her — and it doesn’t hurt that Ava doesn’t really care for Carly at all.

General Hospital Spoilers — Give Sonny Something Else to Worry About

Ava is going to suggest Nina stoop to a new level to get Sonny’s attention back on her. Is Nina really up for these schoolgirl antics? Yes! If it means Sonny is going to forget about what Carly is doing and start paying attention to Nina again, she’ll try anything once. Might Ava suggest Nina finds a way to make Sonny feel he’s needed in her orbit — such as pretending she’s in danger? Could Ava possibly help her stage an attack from The Hook?

Maybe they’ll concoct a scheme to make it look like Nina was mugged or threatened by someone. Of course, this could go entirely too far if Sonny decides to investigate and it leads back to them; so they’ve got to do this right. The truth is, if Sonny feels Nina is in danger, he’s just going to increase security around her. What she needs is security that he wants to be around her. So she’ll have to give Sonny the impression she might not have as much time for him, because someone else could be stealing her attention away, too. Who will it be? Will Nina really lie to Sonny to secure his presence in her life a bit long? Probably. Will it work?
