General Hospital spoilers say that Britt Westbourne has no choice but to tell her mother the truth, no matter how difficult it may be. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Liesl is in for the worst when Britt tells her mother that her Huntington’s disease is getting worse, not better. Actress Kathleen Gati, who plays Liesl on the hit ABC soap, tells the publication that this is certainly going to be an emotional scene between mother and daughter that you won’t want to miss. She puts it this way, “I have to say this was probably the most painful and profound episode I have filmed in 10 years. Britta tells her mom that some of the symptoms of Huntington’s have begun to progress, which means the illness has started to take over her body. Liesl is devastated, but at the same time is trying to be strong and positive for Britta.”

General Hospital spoilers say that while Liesl is doing her best to stay positive, she finds that it’s not always easy trying hide your true feelings, especially when it comes to the ones you have for your daughter.

Kathleen adds, “Liesl tries to put her doctor’s hat on and give hope to herself and to Britta, encouraging her that they are both intelligent and well-trained doctors and can find a way to help Britta.”

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Britt?

At that moment, Britta snaps and says that she doesn’t need her mother’s advice. Instead, what she needs from her mother right now is her comfort. Kathleen continues, “As soon as Britta tells her mother that she needs a mom, Liesl realizes she needs to back off the standard medical approach and just be present for her daughter. She realizes that she, too, desperately needs her daughter.”
