Days of Our Lives spoilers say that everyone sure saw this coming from miles away. Rafe tells Nicole that their marriage is simply not working and that it’s time for them to move on. That makes complete sense seeing how she’s been spending more time canoodling with Eric than her own husband, right? Well, it’s a little more complicated than that. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Nicole heads home to find Rafe packing up his things. Actor Galen Gering, who plays Rafe on the hit soap, previews, “Rafe had no idea she was coming by. She just shows up unannounced. When he sees her, he’s clearly disappointed and hurt and angry. There are myriad emotions that he’s going through. He just wants her to get out.”
Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Nicole complicates things even further by insisting that she bake a pumpkin pie for him seeing how Thanksgiving is just right around the corner. As awkward as the situation can get, Rafe agrees to sit down for a small Thanksgiving dinner of just the two of them. That’s when they begin to discuss their divorce proceedings. Galen says, “Rafe says that he isn’t going to drag things out. It’s in everyone’s best interests to get it done. He’s pretty grown up about it.”
Before Nicole leaves, she apologizes to her soon-to-be ex-husband again and says that she hopes that they can be friends one day. And while Rafe knows that might happen some day, it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Once Nicole leaves, that’s when Rafe dumps her pumpkin pie in the trash. Galen says, “It’s too fresh. He feels betrayed and hurt. The pie is a metaphor for the whole thing.”
