You can take the boy out of Genoa City but apparently you can never take Genoa City out of the boy. The Young and the Restless star Michael Graziadei recently opened up about his return back to the soap. Here’s what you need to know!
Michael tells Soap Opera Digest that his return was supposed to be a huge surprise until it wasn’t a surprise when one day he showed up at the CBS studio lot to take that all-important COVID test before returning to work. He told the publication in a new interview that it certainly felt like coming home again.
“It was like I had never left,” he shared, adding, “It just felt like another day that I was walking through the artists’ entrance, down the hallway to hair and makeup. However, there are a lot of new faces and I’ve been scrambling to learn all the names. There have also been some new sets since I left town, like Society and the Grand Phoenix, so it’s a new Genoa City.”
But even with all the new faces on the soap now, Michael says that it’s been great catching up with his on-screen father, Michael Damian (Danny) for the short time that he was there.
The actor says, “Michael was one of the first people that I spent a lot of time working with when I came to the show. He and I have also remained in contact through the years, so getting to hang out with him and see him in person and work with him and Michelle has been so much fun. Everything about this has been a very positive experience.”
In other words, it sounds as though Michael is definitely back where he belongs, right? Here’s hoping that he stays put for a very long time, too.
