General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Slips Up and Sam Grows Suspicious

General Hospital spoilers reveals Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been accused of being a grifter, and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has definitely pegged him as just that. While Sam has to keep quiet about Cody’s business dealings, and she can’t even share her personal opinion with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), other people are at greater risk of being hurt by Sam’s silence than her boyfriend is at this point. When Cody rambles on about Sam’s investigation into the necklace Peter August (Wes Ramsey) left to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), she’s going to second-guess whether she’s really comfortable keeping his dirty deeds on the down low.

General Hospital Spoilers — Spinelli’s Secret is Entangled with Cody’s

Sam isn’t fond of Cody, and she doesn’t necessarily trust the guy. She knows a con artist when she sees one, and he’s got all the hallmarks. The problem is, she can’t tell anyone what she thinks about him or how she knows. If she reveals that she thinks he has an agenda, she would have to share that he blackmailed Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) into doing something very illegal and matching Cody with Britt using the Society Setups algorithm. To protect her friend, she has to supply Cody with a certain amount of approval she wouldn’t otherwise bestow him with.

GH Spoilers Indicate Cody Says Too Much

Sam has seen a good bit of Cody as of late. While she made time to meet up with him on her own to flesh out what he was up to and whether he was really done manipulating Spinelli into doing his bidding, most of Sam’s interactions with Cody have been rather positive.

When she and Dante double dated with Cody and Britt, everyone got along fairly well. She hasn’t felt too much guilt about keeping the truth from Dante because she knows it would implicate him and ruin her best friend. However, she certainly doesn’t feel comfortable that Cody knows she’s keeping a secret from Dante. When he makes a comment about it, she’s going to wonder if he’s trying to intimidate her. Furthermore, when Cody sticks his nose into her investigation of Leopold Taub’s (Chip Lucia) just a little too far — and alerts her that he is Leopold’s son, Sam’s going to see right through Cody for the con artist he appears to be.

This is about to become a very sticky situation for Sam to be in. She knows she can’t go against Cody, because he has knowledge that could put both Spinelli and her in serious legal trouble and possibly behind bars. However, Sam is going to put the pieces of Cody’s stories together and realize he’s been angling for that necklace all along and targeted Britt using Spinelli and Society Setups on purpose.
