They say that first impressions make all of the difference in the world and we believe it. General Hospital actress Laura Wright recently opened up the first impression that she had when she saw that daytime television actor Cameron Mathison was making the switch to Port Charles to play Drew. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the blonde beauty put it this way, “I’m sure it was, ‘Who is the cute new boy they hired at All My Children, where he played Ryan? I think the first thing you see with Cameron is the visual, right? But there are a lot of beautiful people out there, and the thing about Cameron is that he is an incredible man. He adores his wife and his family and his life and he is so grateful for everything he has.”
Cameron also had a lot of positive things to see about his co-stars, too. He added, “My first impression of Laura was that she was just this incredible bright light of positivity and energy. It was like she almost glowed – she walks into a room and lights up.”
Meanwhile, back in October, Laura opened up about all of the chaos in Carly Coritnos’ life right now. Laura said there is lots of growth ahead for Carly. She explained to SOD, “When she goes home, you’ll see a new side to her. We’ll see for how long! She still is who she is. She’s still a scrapper, she still won’t take stuff from anyone and she is still a mama bear, protective of her family. But this is something that was like divine intervention almost. She had no intention whatsoever of ending up in Jacksonville, but she did. This all fell into her lap, and there are no accidents.”
