General Hospital POLL: Are Jeff And Carolyn The Worst Parents Ever?

General Hospital spoilers say that at this point, it’s hard not to sympathize with Liz Webber right now because she definitely didn’t deserve to have two parents like this. A lot of fans of the hit ABC soap can’t help but wonder if Jeff and Carolyn are the worst parents in soap history just because of their cold approach towards their daughter. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest episode of General Hospital, Liz makes the trip to California so she can see her parents and hopefully get some answers from them. Unfortunately, Liz doesn’t get the answers that she’s looking for but ends up going home even more confused than ever before. That’s because Jeff and Carolyn could care less about their daughter’s feelings and well-being, apparently. 

Needless to say, many General Hospital fans and critics alike sure did weigh in on this storyline on social media. Some commented with, “We knew, as viewers, that they weren’t around for any of the bad or good times in her life in PC, but man was it devastating when Liz listed them one by one. Wow. Not sure what they can say to undo any of that and make them less despicable as parents,” along with, “What is there not to buy.  He hasn’t been around for his daughter for many years.  Kind of cut and dry.  Any parent that has been MIA during some of Liz’s crisis has some explaining to do.”

Another critic wrote, “This is so way over the top. Too much time has gone by. Liz’s temper tantrum landed with a thud. She’s 40+ and now she’s going all ‘you ignored/abandoned me?’ This is a horrible no-good story. After months of build up —- poof. Nothing there.”

Another fan wrote, “They’re totally the worst. I was impressed how real that was. There are totally snotty parents who think they’re entitled to not have to parent yet want everyone to think they’re the best parents still.”
