General Hospital news says that Port Charles is certainly a place with a lot of love, both on and off screen. But fans already knew that, right? Actress Emma Samms, who is best known for her role as Holly Sutton Scorpio on the hit ABC soap, recently opened up about finding love again. The actress admits that she never thought she would have found love again in her life. The soap opera star recently celebrated her first year anniversary with her husband, British television presenter Simon McCoy. Here’s what she has to say!
“It’s our wedding anniversary tomorrow,” the glowing actress told GH co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny) during their interview on his YouTube series, State of Mind. “One year.”
Emma admitted that after having been married three times, she never thought that she would find love again. She also thought that she didn’t think she would have a meaningful romantic partnership until she met Simon.
“For the last 20 years, I’ve lived on my own,” she explained. “I’ve been a single mother. Very happily so. But a year ago, I got married. And I never thought I’d get married again.”
The stunning beauty went on to say that love can happen when you least expect it. She told her fans that love can happen at any age – and even when you are well into your sixties.
“It actually can happen,” she added. “Even if you’re convinced that you’re better off on your own — and some people are — but there might be somebody out there that just happens to be exactly the right match for you. And who’s kind and willing to adapt to your quirks. And his quirks aren’t so tricky that it’s not in any way an effort to adapt to them. And you suddenly find yourself thinking, ‘My goodness, so there is such a thing as a happy, easy, comfortable relationship for me.’ I never thought I would find that.”
