According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, while Brook has been making it pretty clear that it’s time for Chase to make a huge change in his career, he’s not ready for it. And while Chase might feel a little uncertain about his future, he definitely knows where he stands when it comes to his family and Brook Lynn: he wants her and he wants her bad.

Speaking to the publication in a new interview, General Hospital Co-Head Writer Dan O’Connor says that for Chase, spending time with Brook Lynn is an uphill battle because all he wants to do is talk about work. But of course he’s got something else on his mind!

O’Connor puts it this way, “She is a good person at heart, but she also has a scheming part to her, as well, and in a way, keeping their relationship focused on the business part of it for the early chapters may very well have been a defense mechanism. Chase is one of the moral compasses of the show, and Brook Lynn is someone who has a little more ambiguous sense of morality. But opposites attract and they have been attracting each other and bonding with each other more and more over the last two years.”

General Hospital spoilers say that before they know it, Brook Lynn and Chase head to the Quartermaine mansion where one thing ends up leading to another. The scribe explains, “I think that this is the culmination of a really long, sweet romance for whom we have a lot of story left to tell.”
