General Hospital News: Tristan Rogers Didn’t Think Robert And Holly’s Reunion Would Ever Happen

General Hospital news says that Tristan Rogers never thought that his character Robert would ever be reunited again with his one true love Holly but thankfully it did happen and in the most romantic fashion ever, too. The actor recently opened up about Robert and Holly’s emotional reunion and what’s next for the two characters, too. Here’s what he has to say.

It’s a moment that fans have been waiting for and it’s a moment that also delivered, too. The last that fans heard from Holly she was being held captive. One of the reasons why it’s been so long since fans have seen the character on canvas is because her portrayer Emma Samms has been battling with long COVID. 

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Tristan admits that it’s great to see Emma back on the set of the hit ABC soap. He said, “I didn’t think it would happen, given her health. I thought, ‘There’s just too many things against it.’ I said to Frank [Valentini, GH’s executive producer], ‘We’ve got to come up with some resolution to this.’ And he just kind of looked at me and I thought that was it, that it would just stay as it was and the fans would always be holding out hope in the meantime.”

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Robert And Holly?

That said, Tristan admits that getting their reunion right was incredibly important to him. He said, “I had to sit back and think to myself, ‘How do I do this? How do I make this real? The shock and delight of seeing her, how do I roll that all into one moment? That was uppermost in my mind when we shot the scene.”

Tristan also added that things are going to move quite fast between Robert and Holly in the coming weeks. He said, “I think it’s going to keep everyone on their toes. And I think one of the things in this story that the public is really going to relish is the fact that it is all veterans, all familiar faces.”
