General Hospital fans sure have a lot to say about vets William Moses and Denise Crosby joining the cast of the hit ABC soap as Elizabeth Webber’s parents. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, William Moses will be playing a new character by the name of Dr. Jeff Webber while Denise Crosby will play Carolyn Webber.
Of course, many General Hospital fans commented on the matter with, “This is great news but I am going to wait and see. The writing on this show is a hit or miss. I love the actors and believe they will do a fine job, but the writing on this show has me a bit concerned. I would just like some consistency,” along with, “I never expected this to actually happen. And while I would have preferred Robert Newman as Jeff Webber, I do believe William Moses will fit well into the role built by Richard Dean Anderson; this also gives me hope, especially if Moses sticks around, that we may one-day get Rebecca Budig back as Hayden Barnes, and possibly even someone like Bethany Joy Lenz (ex-Michelle, Guiding Light; ex-Hayley, One Tree Hill) as a Sarah Webber recast. However, I am unfamiliar with the works of Denise Crosby & Moses, but I am wishing them the best of luck in their new gigs!”
Another fan wrote, “Jeff and Carolyn have been long overdue to drop into GH! Even if for supporting cameos, this would bolster some semblance of a family. Hopefully Jeff and Carolyn make mentions of dinners or visits with Audrey in retirement. We know Rachel Ames is retired, but it would feel nice to hear mentions of Audrey as though she is still around. Hopefully they keep Jeff and Carolyn together.”
And then there was this comment, “Love Billy Moses. His brother Rick Moses was on GH in 1980 as Hutch during Luke and Laura’s summer on the run. My only issue is that he looks way too young opposite his ex-wife Monica and his niece, Laura.”
