British Royal News suggests that if they could turn back time and change a few things about the way they left the firm, they probably would. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry’s biggest mistake might have been the way he and Meghan Markle had left the royal family. As many fans might recall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world when they pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royals back in 2020. Here’s what you need to know.

Tina Brown, who wrote the book The Palace Papers, thinks that things haven’t faired so well for the Sussexes. She put it this way, “I think they are in a really tough spot now, actually. I feel for Harry, because he’s made a mistake in the way he did his exit. I don’t think it was wrong necessarily the decision to leave, and certainly it wasn’t wrong to marry the woman he was in love with. It’s just the way they handled it that was so unfortunate.”

The royal author also believes that it’s about time Harry and Meghan change the way they operate, especially when it comes to their brand. Brown continued, “Given that they’ve now staked their livelihoods on product, on entertainment, it’s going to be about what they do. Meghan’s first Spotify podcast about Serena Williams was very successful – she knocked America’s number one podcaster, Joe Rogan, off the top spot. She’s got a good podcasting voice. They have to prove themselves now in the gladiator arena of entertainment.”

British Royal News: What’s Next For The Royal Family?

So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the criticism, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. However, it’s been noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been enjoying a fair amount of success ever since they’ve decided to become independent royals with their multi-million dollar Netflix and Spotify deals. Now, whether or not they decide to ever go back to the ‘firm’ so to speak, remains to be seen.
