British Royal News says that as much as they tried to stop it, it looks like the show will go on nonetheless. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s hotly anticipated Netflix series will air in December, despite the fact that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been trying to edit out some of the scenes from the doc as they’ve apparently had a change of heart about a few things after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, Netflix is pressing on with Harry and Meghan’s docuseries, even though some sources say that the royal couple have desperately been trying to postpone the doc’s debut until at least 2023.
That said, Harry and Meghan are still hoping that some major changes will be made to their reality series before it sees the light of day. The couple supposedly want chunks of their documentary taken out, but their filmmakers want to keep it in. “Harry and Meghan are having second thoughts on their own story, on their own project,” said one source.
Another one added, “Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths.”
Many critics have been weighing in on the matter with, “Can you please please please give them their privacy, please. Its all they want, privacy. Don’t they mention it in every press release, every interview and every podcast? Come on, let these very private people have their privacy already,” along with, “Harry and Meghan are not the brightest bulbs on the string which will always be a problem when Netflix et. al. use them for content. The bigger problem is when their content is infused with lies. You have to have a good memory to be a liar but even then, it doesn’t work out so well in the end as I’m sure they will discover.”
Another critic wrote, “They took the money to give juicy stories. Now their stories may be contested, and are contradicted by the stories in their book. Boo hoo, feel so sorry for them because they can’t keep their “stories” straight!”
