Days of Our Lives Update: Is Steve Burton Not Coming Back To Salem?

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Harris Michaels’ time in Salem might be up. While fans absolutely loved seeing Steve Burton on the canvas for Beyond Salem in his original Days of Our Lives character, sadly, he hasn’t been seen in Salem since then. This has prompted a lot of fans to wonder if Steve’s return to daytime television was a short lived one. Here’s what you need to know.

While a lot of fans were hoping that Steve’s big comeback to the soap world would have been an extended one, it doesn’t look like that’s the case at all. That’s because other than the few short episodes that Steve filmed for Beyond Salem, he hasn’t done very much at all. Could this mean that his soap career is truly over now?

Back in July, there was some speculation that fans were going to see more of Steve on the canvas in the coming months ahead. Many fans have even weighed in on the matter on social media and have made comments such as, “Steve Burton is the best thing right now on daytime television. Days of Our Lives would be making a very huge mistake by not bringing him on full-time.”

Days of Our Lives Update: What’s Next For Steve?

Now, whether or not Steve is made a full-time cast member on Days of Our Lives remains to be seen but he did hint that he would be open to it. It’s just a matter of whether or not the producers of the show make it happen. When asked about the possibility in an interview with Deadline, the ator said, “I don’t know. You really have to ask Ron Carlivati and Albert. From what I gather, Peacock’s happy with this, NBC’s happy with this. But if the opportunity’s there, sure. I never say never.”
