British Royal News says that you can take a royal title away from a man, but you can’t take the man away from a royal title, if that makes sense. There’s a new report that says Prince Andrew desperately wanted a comeback into the public eye despite the fact that he was accused of having sex with teens, and that the royal family blocked him from making it happen. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal expert Omid Scobie says in his latest column for Yahoo that while King Charles might have sympathy for his brother Prince Andrew, there’s a reason why the door is shut tighter than ever for the royal. At least, when it comes to being a royal in the public eye.
Scobie writes, “Last month, it was reported that Charles is considering rewriting the 85-year-old Regency Act to exclude non-working members of the Royal Family – meaning Andrew, Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice would be off the list. There is every reason extra effort is going into ensuring Andrew remains out of sight. While his fall from grace began with his friendship with billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and convicted trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, it crescendoed with his multi-million settlement to Virginia Giuffre after she filed a civil case alleging him of sexually assaulting her as a teenager.”
Many royal fans and critics alike commented on the matter with, “Honestly a come back, it’s laughable. I actually question some people who, and there thought process. They spend their time making up stories and lies about The Duchess, but condone this,” along with, “If he went to women’s shelters… Meetings where victims speak their truths… Donated time… Could’ve been a possibility… RF has to protect him because the streets aren’t kind to men who get away with perversions… It’s unfortunate but he made choices that created his fall.”
Another fan wrote, “I don’t understand why the royal family is pretending to be conflicted about Andrew when they decided to prevent him from clearing his name through the civil court case.Why encourage him to pay & forever stay with suspicion but also not help him find a way to work moving forward.”
