British Royal News suggests it might be a very, very long time before Kate Middleton ever speaks to Meghan Markle again, let alone look at her. There’s a new report that suggests not a word was uttered between the two women during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral procession. Here’s what you need to know.
According to new reports, the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex did not speak at all during the UK mourning period. Apparently, Kate was doing everything that she could to “freeze out” Meghan while she was there and it seemed to be working.
One royal insider told journalist Russell Myers, “The family continue to be in mourning and are now finally being allowed to grieve for the queen away from the gaze of millions. However, any talk of a truce between the Prince (William) and the Duke (Harry) would only be temporary. There is still a serious amount of distrust in the air and there hasn’t been any cause for that to change.”
Myers also added that Kate and Meghan were “not known”to have exchanged words throughout the Sussexes’ time in the UK.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry had supposedly asked for a meditator to sort things out between King Charles and himself. Apparently, Harry does want to sort out his rift with his family, but he just doesn’t know the right way to go about it. Yet, there is still some tension between Harry and his father Charles, even though they greeted each other warmly when they first saw each other at Balmoral castle.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl explained, “Harry went in with hugs and the best of intentions and said he wanted to clear the air. He actually suggested that they use a mediator to try and sort things out, which had Charles somewhat bemused and Camilla spluttering into her tea. She told Harry it was ridiculous and that they were a family and would sort it out between themselves.”
And while there is some hope that things might get better between Harry and his father, that might not be the case between Harry and his brother, Prince William. That’s because the new Prince of Wales is still hurt that Harry and Meghan Markle pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family and left everyone behind in the way they did.
