General Hospital Spoilers: As Jordan Ices Sonny Out of the Hook Investigation, Laura Welcomes His Help

General Hospital Spoilers tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will become a pivotal person in solving the investigation of The Hooker. So far, Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has been quick to keep Sonny at arm’s length. While Sonny and Jordan have tag-teamed on investigations a few times, working with a known mobster and drug lord is never something Jordan wants to do if she doesn’t have to. But will the police be able to solve the mystery of this serial killer without Sonny’s help? Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) doesn’t think so.

Laura’s Back! — Asks Sonny for Help

Mayor Collins has been out of town once again. This time, she’s tending to her mother, Leslie Webber (Denise Alexander) whose house just burned down. Laura never seems to be able to escape tragedy, but she’ll return to Port Charles freshly exhausted and nevertheless invigorated to get to the bottom of The Hook murders.

It’s evident to everyone involved now that all three victims of The Hooker have thus far had close connections to Sonny. The first victim, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) is the mother of Sonny’s daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Grace Scarola). The second victim was Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), Sonny’s cousin. The third but certainly not the final victim was Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy). While Jordan is aware of the suspicious connection, Sonny has assured her there haven’t been any work-related disputes outside of the ordinary in his organization as of late. Sonny has a history of withholding vital information from the police though, so Jordan never feels sure she can trust him. Laura, on the other hand, knows she can.

General Hospital Spoilers Say Jordan Won’t Take Kindly to Laura’s Overreach

When Laura steps back on the scene and attempts to take the reins on The Hooker investigation, Jordan will feel offended. The two have always worked well together, and Laura has never shown any doubt in Jordan’s abilities to do her job well before. Why would she now?

It may not be as serious as all that. Laura simply wants to stop a killer before they kill again, and she knows Sonny is more likely to cooperate with her than he is with Jordan. Still, Jordan will feel like Laura is stepping on her toes, and the two will have words. While they’re arguing over their feelings, someone else will become the next victim of The Hooker.

GH Spoilers Hints The Hooker May Be Closer to Laura than Sonny

While Laura is convinced teaming up with Sonny will help her solve this mystery because the mobster is an obvious target, she may lose sight of the fact that she could be the real target. While Ava is Laura’s daughter-in-law, the killings may not be an attack on a specific genetic family, but rather Laura’s entire family: the people of Port Charles. The Mayor has made it her duty to get her ratings back up after her half-brother, Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) last reign of terror, but he’s not going to make it easy for her if Cyrus is behind The Hooker!
