General Hospital Spoilers: Liz Confronts The Truth About Her Past

General Hospital spoilers say that Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is finally doing the inevitable, and that’s facing the truth and confronting her past, no matter how hard it may feel for her. Even though it may put both her and Nikolas in legal jeopardy, Liz is determined to come clean over the fact that she can recall exactly what she was and what she was doing at the time of Ava’s stabbing. General Hospital Spoilers: Liz Confronts The Truth About Her Past

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, General Hospital Co-Head Writer Dan O’Connor previews, “Elizabeth knows that going to the police would prevent her from having an alibi, but she could never live with herself if withholding information form the police prevented them from tracking down Ava’s attacker, who may strike again.”

General Hospital spoilers also say that Liz knows that if she were to make this confession, it might bring Nikolas to the very top of the suspect list, which is something she doesn’t want to do. O’Connor added, “Elizabeth and Nikolas go back a long way and she knows that he and Ava have a complex relationship. Elizabeth knows better than most what Nikolas is capable of, but she also knows where his limit is. So while she knows there is something, some lethal secret between Ava and Nikolas, she does not believe that he is responsible for her attack.”

That said, Ava herself isn’t quite sure what to make of Liz’s confession and Nikolas’ alibi. “Ava’s heart and head are in conflict with each other right now. No matter what they have gone through her heart does not believe that Nikolas could be responsible for this. But in her head, she recognizes that he had the means, motive and opportunity to do it. As well as the history. This is a man who tried to have his own wife Hayden assassistanted!”
