Of course, it didn’t take long at all for both The Bold and the Beautiful fans and critics alike to weigh in on this storyline. Many of them took to social media to write comments such as, “Deacon is just digging himself into a deeper hole every time he has to keep Sheila from doing something sinister and then having to lie about it to cover both his and her tracks,” along with, “Deacon helped Sheila escape from the police, he kisses her, he takes her in, he doesn’t tell anyone & he still doesn’t report Sheila. Where are those who called Thomas for knowing a piece of information a few months after the fact but still no blame on Deacon.”

Another critic wrote, “I’m distressed by this story line where hiding dangerous offenders is OK. It is no longer an interesting or intriguing given the mass killings in domestic violence in Canada and the US! 11 dead 18 injured in Saskatchewan in Canada over the weekend.”

And then there was this comment: “I resent now that Deacon had the opportunity to be a better character. Have a life and family, they once again make him Sheila’s whipping boy. They could have let Mike out of jail and used him for that. I wanted Deacon and Brook to have a shot. Tired if her begging Ridge.”
