Adam has not made progress in his attempt to destroy his father. But he has only begun to explore using the leverage he gained when obtaining the police report about Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death.

He picked Sally as an assumed go-to media source to peddle the illegally obtained information about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) punching Ashland, which led to his accidental death. And Victor’s involvement becomes more than a theory because of the evidence Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is aware of but choose to ignore when submitting his final report.

But Sally rejected Adam’s pitch, telling him that she would lose her job as Chief Executive Officer of Newman Media if she published a story based on his intel. He replied by asking why she wanted to work under someone like Victor.

What Sally does in coming weeks could determine whether she has a real future in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Doom is head if she can not break free from remnant feelings for Adam and throws in with him.

However, if she maintains her sanity and remains loyal to Newman Enterprises, Sally likely holds her spot at Newman Media. A potential romantic path to Nick seems to exist, with Sally potentially realizing a link to the Newman family but not through Adam.
