General Hospital spoilers say that for those folks who were concerned about whether or not they would be seeing Liz Webber again now that she’s checked into Shadybook, worry not. That’s because the scribes of the show say that a big storyline is about to unfold for her. Keep reading below for all of the spoilers you need to know.
Head Writer Dan O’Connor tells Soap Opera Digest in a new interview that Elizabeth Webber won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon. He puts it this way, “Elizabeth Webber has been a part of the fabric of GH for 25 years. And during that time, there is still a big, untold story of her past and that is the explanation of why she is so distant from her immediate family. The memory that she is unlocking is the beginning of being ready to finally tell that story.”
He also added that there is going to be more focus on Liz and her history in the coming weeks ahead. “The full backstory of Elizabeth and her family that has been unexplored all this time has always been a story that we have wanted to tell and we have been planning to tell,” the scribe explained. “And we are finally in a position where we could unpack all of this and make this a Liz-centric story in time for such a milestone year for her on the show.”
O’Connor continued, “Rebecca Herbst has been doing a fantastic job playing the emotion and the mystery and the suspense of this story. And we can’t wait to see her knock it out of the park as we explore the depths of [Liz’s] soul and her history.”
We absolutely cannot wait to find out what’s next for Liz! After all, she is a fan favorite, right?
