The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Douglas Forrester is a very lucky and unlucky child. That’s because even though he’s surrounded by so many adults that love him and want the best for him, they also don’t want to let go of him. In fact, Hope Logan is trying hard to come to terms with the fact that Thomas Forrester wants his son to move back in with him. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Annika Noelle, who plays Hope on the hit CBS soap, says that for her character, this is all coming out of nowhere. She puts it this way, “She thought that things were going well and that they had found a good balance together as co-parents.”

Not only that, but there’s also legal issues in all of this, too. Annika points out, “It’s not about feeling threatened, it’s a matter of legality. Hope was asked by Thomas to step in and become Douglas’ adoptive mother. There are custody agreements in place and it is about honoring them.”

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Hope then receives a phone call from Thomas saying that he’s having a big family dinner to celebrate Thomas’ return home and that Douglas is staying one more night with him. For Hope, it’s not a good sign. Annika explains, “If you are trying to successfully co-parent, communication is key. Her main focus is on Douglas and his well-being and protecting him from any unnecessary family tension.”
