Days of Our Lives spoilers say that there’s a new face in town and it’s one that fans will have to get used to, seeing how she’s about to play a very huge role on the show. Actress Abigail Klein first made her debut on Beyond Salem: Chapter 2, but will now be headed to Salem on Days of Our Lives as her new character, Stephanie Johnson. Here’s what she has to say!
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Abigail says that she was quite surprised to find out that her two on-screen parents, Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols, were actually blondes! She said, “But just looking at Shelley Henning, who plays Stephanie before, I was like, ‘Oh, I get it. They are trying to keep that continuity.’ That’s cool by me.”
That said, Abigail says that she loves working side by side by two legendary actors on the show. She said, “They are iconic, and they are just wonderful people. They just have hearts of gold. Stephen asked me if I wanted to grab coffee before I even started shooting, which was so sweet. Mary Beth couldn’t make it. That’s when Stephen filled me in on how everything works, when I should expect to get scrips, what the work days kind of looked like. It was very sweet to have that connection before I even got to set.”

Abigail also said that she met Mary Beth when she saw her on set and she was just as impressed with her as she was with Stephen. She said, “She’s just so magnetic. I love being around her and Stephen. They both crack me up. Their banter and their energy really draws me in. They are just amazing.”
What’s more, Abigail says that she did her own research on her new role before stepping foot on the set of Days of Our Lives. She explained, “I couldn’t find any videos of Shelley’s work. But I found these fan pages and Wiki pages. I probably read Soap Opera Digest articles about her, too.”
