The Young and the Restless spoilers say that there’s a new, but also familiar face in town: Trevor St. John! According to new reports, the veteran actor will be playing a new character, although no details have been released as to who that might be. Either way, Y&R fans sure have a lot to say about this casting! Here’s what you need to know.
Reports say that Trevor has already started filming new episodes on the set of The Young and the Restless. Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans took to their social media accounts to weigh in on the matter. Some commented with, “Hopefully he is not a dud of a character like Ashland. This is another great actor who deserves a good role. Lets hope they didn’t hire him first and now have to come up with a character. As for whether he could be Dylan McAvoy, not against it but would prefer him to be someone that is new. Maybe a exec hire at Jabot so he can have different interactions with other characters. Maybe a love interest for Sharon,” along with, “Trevor could play, Nina’s son Ronan Malloy that would be terrific. I hope this happens. I mostly love this idea. If I could accept that Nina is never going to be back full time with a love interest I would be totally sold on Trevor as Ronan. But TSJ is only 5 years younger than Tricia Cast. I don’t want Nina to seem older than she is. It will make it even less likely that she’ll be used in a meaningful way in the future.”
Another fan wrote, “Now this is a shocking twist in a turn of events. Not where I expected him to go. But kudos to him. That said, I don’t think Mark Grossman is leaving so I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s just playing a new character. I just don’t see them replacing anyone currently on the canvas. Although, someone gone for a while and bringing a character back I wouldn’t shock me. I guess we’ll know in a month or so.”
